Produktbeskrivelse
18 woodcuts and eighteen light verses by the Daily Telegraph''s renowned political cartoonist, Nicholas GarlandNicholas Garland is one of this country''s most respected political cartoonists, working for the Daily Telegraph where he has a huge following. Nicholas has also worked for Private Eye, when he was jointly responsible with Barry Humphries (Dame Edna Everidge) for the Barry Mackenize strip cartoon. He was born in London in 1935 and studied at the Slade School of Art. After graduating, he worked as a theatre director and stage manager, but he gave that up to earn his living as an artist. As well as being a cartoonist, Garland is an accomplished painter and woodcut artist, whose work has been exhibited widely. He has also illustrated a number of books, most recently his son Alex''s novel, Coma.
