Produktbeskrivelse
Featuring tales from the seventeenth century to the present day, this exhaustive A-Z guide reveals the mysterious side of historic Dover. Situated at the narrowest part of the English Channel, Dover has had its fair share of waifs and strays travelling through it over the course of many years. Some lost souls have remained, from the old woman in grey of Biggin Street forever waiting for her last confession to the ghost of the Archbishop Geoffrey whose screams have been heard on stormy nights as he is dragged from Dover college to the castle. As well as retelling these chilling tales, Sencicle delves into the history surrounding the stories to discover the probable reasons behind the hauntings. This spine-tingling book will fascinate anyone who dares to read it.
